Olney Washers are famous for their rugged dependability and effective washing for a variety of food products. Olney Washers are custom manufactured of stainless steel and may include flotation cleaning, destoning and screening as each specific requires.

Olney Flotation Washers combine flotation and screening to provide the cleanest product. In the flotation tank, with its quiet flow of water, floating trash is removed and discharged. An optional air manifold system may be installed that incorporates air into the bottom of the flotation tank to increase trash buoyancy for more efficient flotation.

A typical washer destoner would include an initial cleaning stage, where, light-floating trash is removed in the flotation tank.The product, after sinking to the bottom of the flotation tank, passes over the destoning section where stones, mudballs, sand and silt are caught and trapped in the stone crib. The stone crib may be easily emptied of the collected trash in seconds, by simply turning the operating handle which lifts the crib allowing the trash to be flushed into an emptying basket or drain. The E-Z Cleaning Feature eliminates the need to manually dump riffles, as some destoners require. The product, after passing over the stone crib, is dewatered and screened of fine trash on the S.S. rod vibrating dewatering screen. Trash passing through the screen is dewatered on the lower screen deck and is discharged to the trash chute.

All of these machines have a complete open top construction with no structural framework above the product flow. The open construction makes the machines anitary and easy to operate and maintain.
